Who We Are:
We are men who affirm the virtues of a Christ-centered life, whereas the essence of our character can be measured by the integrity of our lives through the focus of our time, treasure and talents.
Our Purpose:
We purpose to invest in God’s kingdom through faithful service with other likeminded men, whereby we live our entire lives prayerfully before the face of God, through the discipline of His Word and to His glory alone.
What We Believe:
We believe that there is but one God , who reveals Himself to His people as God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit; whereas salvation is given by His grace alone, justified through faith alone because of the work of Christ alone.
What We Do:
We use the dynamics of a small group setting to develop vital relationships that encourage and affirm the fruits of spiritual growth. Through the disciplines of mentoring and accountability, the fundamentals of godly character through the Lordship of Jesus Christ are taught each week. Thus, “As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another”, each man submits to God’s authority as the rule of our lives. We pray that the result is ‘Promise Keepers’ instead of just promise makers.
As such, we are directed by these Ministry Values:
- · Men. We are clear that Christ is the head of all men. We are committed to encourage the spiritual, personal and professional well-being of men, and their families. Thus, we are determined to be the spiritual and moral leaders in our families according to God’s mandate given to us in His Word.
- · Scripture. We hold fast to the truth and the power of the unremitting authority of God’s Word divinely inspired in Holy Scripture. We are committed to studying God’s Word daily as we seek first His kingdom and His righteousness.
- · Humility. We desire that each man humble himself before Christ so that he would have a teachable spirit that allows one to learn from failure as well as the confidence to ask for help as needed. We believe the fruit of regeneration is humility and that humility will lead a man from confession to repentance as the Holy Spirit directs each man’s day to day sanctification. As such, we desire to obey God’s commands because we love Him and want to glorify Him..
- · Prayer. We are our brother’s keeper and so we are honored to prayerfully intercede on our brother’s behalf. We are committed to praise God for each man and we will not give up on any as they struggle.
- · Accountability. We are committed to hold each other accountable in our personal and spiritual lives. All questions of integrity and moral purity are fair game. We support a process that encourages men to express concerns and needs, without fear of condemnation and retribution. Private directed confessions and personal admissions are held in strict confidence and are not to be shared outside the group. Respect for confidentiality is essential. Finally, the AISI Ministry board of directors are required to affirm all plans and requests that exceed normal day to day operations.
- · Teamwork. We encourage individual initiative and participation as it relates to group activities applied with a spirit of cooperation. We are committed to attending all meetings and events as often as possible and in sharing the responsibilities required for effective small groups. We will be willing to submit ourselves to mentorship activities.
- · Leadership. Our leadership must be characterized by unity of purpose, appropriate division of labor, prudent judgment, Godly wisdom, coherent plans, committed service and effective communications. In addition, our leaders are to be examples to our men in areas of spiritual maturity and Godly living.
- · Action. We will be accountable for a faith in action; an attitude that reflects the fruit of our salvation as we grow in God’s grace as well as our obedience and service unto God in all that we do.
- · Stewardship. We are committed to provide financial support to ministries that are like-minded and equally yoked. Each man is encouraged to give as God leads him and blesses him.
